Invitation to Intrigue

Last week was awesome! I got to mc and do some crazy magic. We were 1062 miles away from the bed I’m typing on right now.

God was so awesome last week. He moved kids were saved and broken. It was so uplifting to see God move like that.

I got to perform some really cool new material that I’ve been working hard on. I got to bring the word Friday morning and send the kids off.

Dodgeball was legendary as always. I got nailed in the face while I was waiting to go back in…nice.

It was incredibly hot way down there in Leakey TX, but the kids were awesome. I’ve never met some teens so on fire for God that it just pours out from everything they do. These were teens who exemplified Matt. 5:14.

Anyway Kacy was awesome speaking at night. That guy is an incredible speaker. We did the Lord’s supper with a focus on the cross it was amazing.

I got to teach a class on apologetics which was great. The kids really enjoyed it and learned how to defend their faith.

Wow this past week was great in Panama City. I got to do some really cool illusions. The best part was seeing God move in the students and adults that were there. A lot of funny things happened for instance I think Ken Freeman really likes Chris Taylor, ha ha. Anyway continue to pray for us as we head to Leakey TX next week for the second week. This week will be different however, because not only will I be doing more magic, than last week, but I will be the morning guy and my good friend and normal Wild Week emcee Kacy Benson will be the camp pastor. Kacy is a great evangelist with a great heart for God. I’m looking forward to it so please pray for us and for all of those who made decisions for Christ this week.

I think that it’s official that the greatest sport known to mankind is dodgeball.  Magic Hotness won the tournament, making us the ultimate dodgeball champs in the southeast.  It’s a pretty prestigious title I know, but I paid for it with the sunburn I got from being out there all day.

The Lord’s Supper service as always was very powerful.  I got to meet with several of the churches during their church time after the services this week, and to hear the reactinos of the students to the services.  To hear some of the things these teens have gone through, and are going through makes me shudder sometimes.  I pray for these teens who have to go back to the hell of there everyday life, and I pray that they will have the strength to be the light they should be.

Nick Thurmond lead worship again this year.  If you have not heard this guy, seriously you will be saying Chris and David who?  They are a great bunch of guys, and I hope that God continues to use them.

Also let me just say that Mrs. Kathy made the greatest desert I have ever had.  Honeybun cake.  Imagine the thought of it.  It was awesome!  She is such a blessing.

All in all though great week, I can’t wait to turn around and do it all again next week. God Bless.

So we are here in Panama City Fla. Rocking Wild Week camp. Last night was awesome. God moved and 20 or so students accepted Christ last night!!! Pray for us I’m trying a new effect in the morning. I’m pretty excited, but this is a cool one so I’m thinking it’ll go good.

Pray for Karla’s dad tomorrow he’s having knee replacement surguty.

It’s been an awesome couple of days. Both shows went great Sunday morning in Springville, after that Karla and I took 3 much needed days hanging out in one of our favorite places. Pigeon Forge. There’s always something to do.

We had the pleasure of making new friends with a fantastic couple of illusionists, Duane and Mary Laflin. They are legends in the business, but most impressively their heart for Christ. We had a great time talking and enjoying the town with them as well as learning from them.

We are ready to head out for Wild Week. It’s an awesome youth camp that focuses on discipling teens. We will be performing our new show Invitation to Intrigue. I’m really excited to debut our new version of Houdini’s Metamorphosis, which is one of the fastest in the world.

Just want to say congratulations to my boy TJ and his wife-to-be. I’m sitting here as we are taking pictures. I wish them the best.

I finished my closer this morning. It’s a revamped killer in my opinion. I also retooled my opener. I can’t wait!

So I taught on the good Samaritan last night. It’s got me doing some thinking on how I really treat others. I know many times, too many that is, I’m like the Levite and the Priest who walked by on the other side of the road because they didn’t want to be bothered. Sometimes I feel like that’s me. I feel selfish and I superimpose my selfishness over others’ needs and problems. Jars of Clay’s new album has a song called “Headphones”. It’s the same concept, that if we want to we can block everything out and ignore the problems around us. God has called us to so much more than that. We are to be salt and light. I don’t want to be bland or dim when it comes to helping others. I want to be able to honestly love people as I love myself.

Ugh Packing is one of those things that you never really think about how annoying it is until it’s on large scale. No I’m excited though. We are moving this week, and I can’t wait to get my workshop up and running so I can finish building some of these crazy ideas I’ve been having.

Pray for our church please. We are starting a Spanish service on Sundays at 2:00. This is an awesome outreach that I’m excited to be a part of. God has blessed our church in such a way that we can use the things he has given us to bless others. Pray for us, and if you are in the area and would like to know more about it, just let me know.
